Short-term rental vs long-term lease: what's the difference?
A short-term rental is booked by the night for a fixed date range, like a hotel stay. A long-term rental is leased by the month and usually requires a rental application and a signed lease. Both are available on FlexStay from the same account.
How pricing works
Short-term listings are priced per night, with the total shown before you confirm a booking.
Long-term listings are priced per month as ongoing rent, agreed in a lease rather than paid per stay.
How you reserve one
Short stays: pick your dates on a listing page and complete the booking flow when the host has availability.
Long-term: submit a rental application on a long-term listing, then sign a lease online once the host approves it.
Which one fits you
Choose a short stay for travel, a temporary work assignment, or a trial period in a new city.
Choose a long-term rental if you're settling in for months or years and want a fixed monthly rent and lease terms.
